Vinayaka Chaturthi is also known as Ganesh Chaturthi. This festival is celebrated as Ganesha's birthday. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated all over India with a great devotion. People bring home idols of Lord Ganesha,decorate Ganesha and performs the rituals. On the last day of festival the idols are immersed in water. Practical life activity
We cleaned Lord Ganesha using rose water,brush and water and then wiped him with cloth.such a great practical life activity


Then he dressed him up and then offered some flowers and durva leaves to Lord Ganesha. It's a great Sensorial activity.


Offering fruits to Ganesha
He cut out the toy fruits with a toy knife and then we offered them to Lord Ganesha. It is very good for fine motor skills and practical life skills.




To know more about Ganesha's family
We did simple matching activity to know more about Ganesh and his family and their vahan(vehicle)/carrier of Lord Ganesha's family. Then i explained him shiva and parvathi are his parents, karthikeya his brother.
